Consulting Fees
  • New consultation fee - Please call
    (medicare rebate $73.85).
  • Subsequent review fee - Please call
    (medicare rebate $37.15).
  • Payment on the day of consultation is required
  • (including TAC and WorkCover patients).
Medical Report Fees
  • Any medical report including insurance form will be charged with
    the following :
  • <1 hour preparation and writing up = $220.00
  • >1 hour – will be quoted beforehand
  • All fee needs to be paid in full before the report is released.
Surgical Fees
  • We participate in the 'No Gap Fee Scheme' (ie. no out-of-pocket expense) if you have private health insurance, WorkCover, TAC, or DVA gold.
  • For Self-Funded patient, a competitive fee will be quoted.
No Gap Policy

When you have a surgery in the private hospital, your health insurance sets the fee payable to the surgeon. The surgeon can set the fee higher than what your health insurance pays. The difference in the fee (which is called the GAP) is payable by you (which is your out-of-pocket expense).

Surgeons at AO8 Orthopaedic do not believe in charging you any GAP whilst providing high standard of patient’s care in orthopaedic surgery. All surgeons are Australian-trained orthopaedic surgeons who are fellows of Royal Australasian College of Surgeon (RACS) and Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA).
